Title Tag & Meta Tag Creation

The Title Tag

A Title Tag is an HTML element that specifies the title of a web page. These are displayed on the search engine results page (SERP) and are the clickable heading for the searched keyword. The Title Tag is the biggest element, and its wording will determine whether the searcher will click on it or not. This is important for usability, SEO, and social sharing.

Creating the Title Tag

Your Title & Meta Tags should contain all the keywords you wish to rank for. There are a lot of things to consider when creating the Title Tag like the length, keyword placement, brand name, no duplicates, relevancy, stuffing in keywords, and making the headline different from the title.

The Meta Tag

A Meta Tag is a snippet of text that describes the page’s content. Unlike the Title Tag, Meta Tags do not appear on the page itself, only in the page’s source code. These help tell the search engine what the page is about.
