Secure Site with HTTPS

What is HTTPS?

Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) is the secure version, or extension, of HTTP, and is used for secure communication over a computer network. It is widely used on the Internet.

Why is it important?

HTTPS prevents websites from having their information broadcasted, like credit card numbers, banking information, login credentials, and transmits it securely. This makes shopping online, banking, working remotely, and other online activities secure for users. Not only is it more secure, but HTTPS is also used as a boost for generating search results.
